The Dieing Land Empty
PostSubject: The Dieing Land   The Dieing Land Icon_minitimeSun Jul 26, 2009 7:26 am

The forest surronded the nearby kingdom sat peacefully in the dark as long as time had existed. Through wars and chaos it had never once been affected by the world outside of it. Animals and people who lived in the forest grew up thinking that the world outside was evil and anyone who stepped out of the forest would be killed on site and that nothing but chaos existed outside the forest itself. Children ran along the forest trees laughing and smiling. Adults went about their chores, but even so this peace couldn't and wouldn't last. Suddenly in the dead of night a stranger appeared among this peaceful forest and the trees themselves seem to shy away from him as if he was posion. He quickly established himself in the village of the forest and slowly the trees around them started to die. The outside world having been oblvious to this forest was surprised to suddenly see that such a forest existed without noone even noticing. This set up a fued as kings from all over the land quickly attempt to put a stack in the forest. The village now in turmoil over the sudden appearance of the stranger and now more of them armys of soldiers bent on taking out anyone in their way and claiming the land as their kings quickly took over parts of the forest as each army fought with another blood was shed and the trees whose legacy had always stood strong now started to faulter. The trunks red as blood now and the elaves wilting before them. the villagers cried and mourned their great forest as they watched it start to die, but as the forest died slowly the land did as well. Now we stand at a crossroad. A small miracle can save this dieing land or destroy it completely.

-Ah yes, the stranger had appeared and the land of course had started to die. Falling into chaos as it was foreseen anyways. The stranger was like death, powerful, silent and couldn't be more pleased with the smell of fear in the people. Soon it would all end, everything would die, the people without their resources would eventually die as well. The stranger could only bellow a hollow laugh that echoed through the wind, or though what wind was left. Soon the village lie in shambles, the villagers lie dead as if their very life essence had been drained from their bodies. The stranger slowly disappeared, leaving behind him a minion...a woman who was to continue his destruction, by moving to the next un-expecting village creating more chaos and death in her wake for her lord.-

In all the chaos of the unknown stranger who had appeared than disappeared just as suddenly a single man sat back in the deserted tavern a smirk formed on his face as he watched the king's men move along the once life filled village looking for any sign of life. He didn't really expect to find anyone left alive, but he had his orders or at least he pretended to do what he was ordered. He was the royal officer in charge of the king's top guard but in truth he wanted that throne as much as the next person in this god forsaken kingdom all he was waiting for was the right queen and the moment where the king was most vunerable. His second in charge saluted and came up behind him watching him drink his hot tea waiting for him to finish. Victor turned to look up at his second and raised a eyebrow in aknowledgement. "Well what is the news though I still say no one is alive in here and by your expression I'm right." His second gulped and looked at Victor in fear knowing all to well that his commander was right and he always seemed right.

The woman hadn't quite moved on as she was told. Instead she had stayed behind making sure that there was no human or creature alike alive. She stood near a dying tree on the outskirts of the village, hidden within the the growing shadows as the sun sank below the horizon. She watched as new people approached, guards it would seem. She took little interest in them but watched them nevertheless. After a while her form dissolved much liked she had faded into the background. Soon after, her form reappeared standing atop one of the buildings. She looked down, watching a few of the guards move around a bit. A grin crossed her lips as she moved her hands behind her back, grabbing at two curved long daggers, she jumped from the building. As she neared the ground closest to two of the guards she pulled the blades from their sheaths, impaling the two guards through the backs of their necks. The poor guards hadn't realized what had hit them, not that it would have mattered anyways.
The point of impact had killed them right away and they fell dead to the ground covered in their own blood. And to make sure no one noticed her, she jumped away, moving to another building and crouched down upon the roof watching and waiting in silence. She hated to wait the smell of fresh blood dripping from her weapons made her only desire to kill even more. But she waited anyways, watching for more to get near.

Victor snified the air in digust as he smelled blood though not sure from where and nor did he care. His guard didn't like him so they could all die for all he cared as long as the king was his in the end that is what mattered. His boredom with this town was at the peek where he had little care even if he found a small child alive. with a nod at his second he yawned and got up. "Tell the men to head home if you can't find any than they are left behind we do not have the time for this and I got othr matters to deal with." his second nodded and saluted before leaving his commanders presense though his feelings he could tell that the day would soon come where he would have to fight the very person he respected so much. Victor watched the man leave before heading out of the temprary shelter and started toward the midle of town reaching the dead men quickly he inspected each one before looking toward the roofs.

It hadn't taken much time before she had done away with a few more of the guards. She was finishing with the last couple she managed to get her hands on and made her way back to where the first two had been killed. She stopped near a building and slid quickly to the side of it, pressing her back against the stone. She turned her head and peeked around the corner. She could see another man, dressed somewhat differently then the rest inspecting the first two guards she had murdered. It didn't matter though, he had to die as well. She backed away from the building after a couple of minutes of watching him and jumped back up onto one of the roofs. Keeping herself low to the top of the building she moved slowly on her feet, using the palms of her hands to steady herself as she made a basic like crawling motion to the roof nearest to the man. She pulled her weapons from behind her back and took a flying leap down from the building, her weapons held ready to strike him in.-

Victor heard the sound of the tiles on the roof move as he ducked under her weapons and rolled on the ground turning back to her a she pulled his own blade from it's sheath hidden on his side. he looked mildly amused at the same time aggrivated and annoyed he did not have the time for this. "I see your the one causing this chaos around here and no wonder a beautiful lady always creates problems to any man or women who can think straight and you certainly are beautiful."
